Votwin Public Gardens and Inn

History:

Land dedicated to the city by one of the town's oldest benefactors Woz Votwin, the Votwin Public Gardens stretch through the center of town.  While most of the gardens in town belong to the local co-ops which primarily focus on producing commercial crops, the community gardens are far more diverse in their cultivation and the food grown there may not be sold within the city by fiat.    While there are no specific owners of the Votwin Gardens, they are a source of pride for citizens of Bloomsburgh.  For this reason, it is not uncommon to find the average citizen tending to any of the various plots, from children to the elderly, the Gardens are the city's most well-respected area.   At the center of the gardens, surrounded by plots of sunflowers on all sides, is the Votwin Inn.  A favorite location for travelers due to the consistent availability of quality rations and cheap home-cooked meals. Part of the communal tradition in the town is that each month, a family is selected to prepare the weeks-end feast held at the inn.  As is tradition, any patrons staying that night at the inn are welcome to partake. This has made rather competent chefs out of most of the citizens of Bloomsburgh.

Management:

Ia Votwin is the current manager of the Inn and to most, the town's de facto mayor.  Her popularity is due not to her ability to craft fine meals but for her expertise in hosting sparkling conversations.  It is not uncommon to see villagers renting out a room just to ensure a seat at one of her dinners.  On rare occasions, even Ashen Shieks from Tanalier will find themselves drawn into the small village for dinner and conversation.  Though it should be noted, the only offense suffered during such cordial events is the failure to contribute to the conversation.
