The Testament of the Dark Flame
History:
The Dark Flame is something of a myth of early Dwarvish culture that has persisted well into present day and culminated with the formation of the Pyromancers Guild. Once a sacred order of wizards, monks, sorcerers, and artificers; the common perception in the modern era is far less dignified. The dark flame is said to corrupt everything it touches, and once ignited it cannot be extinguished until it has consumed all. Kremintz Goldenpike was said to be the first Pyromancer, donning the sigil of the Dark Flame though its author is unknown. Though the order was feared for its extreme convictions and willingness to commit atrocities in order to achieve victory. In times of need for the Dwarvish people, the kings and queens of old were not above weaponizing their zealotry, ferocity, and devotion to cause to eliminate their enemies. Indeed, the Testament of the Dark Flame is widely considered controversial for its canonization of a number of spells that touched to edges of black magic and the corruption of young Dwarves.
