The Pinnacle

Elven blades are sharpened to the finest points to pierce the toughest of prey. Elven nets can bind the most powerful of enemies. But only Elven Kudzu can strangle and pierce its prey, leaving no room for retreat or surrender. Explorers Beware.

History & Lore

Built atop an active Volcano, the vines of the poisonous Kudzu plant wrap in thick brambles around the Pinnacle and most of the forestation leading up to it. Many are unsure of the Kudzu’s capacity to understand its surroundings and differentiate between friend or foe. Unfortunately, experimentation on the Kudzu is expressly against Elven law as one of 5 venerated plants.
Despite the dangers involved in navigating the jungles around the Pinnacle, the Elven Bishops and Elders somehow manage to come and go in the treacherous area with no issues whatsoever. It is hypothesized that they have a deeper understanding of the Elven lands, and the Kudzu that allow them safe passage. Though this has never been confirmed. The Elven Legends state that one must be fully attuned to nature to understand the inner workings of the Kudzu and pass without a trace amongst them.

Elders & Sheikhs

Elven Sheikhs, which serve at the behest of the Ashen Elders in Ossirion attend the Pinnacle's day-to-day goings-on. Many of them serve to honor their Elvish bloodlines as the mantle of Sheikh is passed down throughout the strongest Elven Bloodlines. Entire families, conscripted into Ashenvale's Army merely out of tradition. Traditions that have held for thousands of years. The current family of Sheikhs presiding over the Pinnacle are the Amathuilos', a righteous family, with 15 children, most of which have dedicated their lives in service of the Ashen Savages, nearly all but the eldest son Zaos Amathuilos who serves as Elder Sheikh over the Pinnacle.   However, the Pinnacle holds a very sacred place in both Elven and Dwarvish culture. As the fabled spot where Usor Copperbeard forged his legendary Volcanic Greataxe. Though the axe hasn't been seen in centuries its power is said to have cleared the entire forest, all except for the Kudzu. The Elves saw this as a sign and the Dwarves saw this location as sacred ground. Pouring tens of thousands of GP into the construction of the Pinnacle to honor both Ashenvale and Ignis.   To believe the fire could destroy the Kudzu is to be shortsighted of the highest magnitude. Kudzus consume flame as lions consume lambs.
