Scrolls of the Kudzu
History:
Siez Simone was considered among Ashenvale's favorite children. As the Elven people's culture was widely disorganized and prone to infighting Siez, inspired by a vision from Ashenvale. Siez sought to take inspiration from the Tree of Life, an honored tree, thought to be the oldest in existence. Rising above all other cultures, rivaling the mountains the Dwarves hold dear, looking over the oceans the Gnomes revere, and even tearing into the sky dividing humans over its presence. Even in cultures where she is not revered she was respected for her ability to sway others to her cause. And where she was not revered or respected she was feared, often considered a threat, and negative propaganda depicted as a demonic entity, in old Gnomish she was even given the title 'Thelxiope' which translates to 'devourer of wills'.Excerpt: The Flower of the Kudzu
As the morning breaks, let us sing hymns of praise to the lovely flower that blooms before us.
Let us kiss its delicate petals and allow it to weave us through a blissful dream.
Behold, a flower was divinely born, its radiant bloom spreading love, joy, faith, and hope to those who yearn for comfort amidst their struggles.
For within every man lies the seed of this celestial flower, waiting to blossom and reveal its divine beauty and power to all who seek it with open hearts.
Let us behold this wondrous miracle and give thanks to Ashenvale for her boundless grace.
Relevance:
Used in ascension ceremonies of Ashen Elders, Ashen Shieks, and Ashen Oshōs. As Ashen Savages are a militarized arm of the faith they may not use this text in their ascension ceremonies.Though most of the text is centered around matters of faith there is also an entire section dedicated to the venerated Kudzu; its care, maintenance, handling, and uses in various medicines and poisons. Though many consider the plant hostile and invasive the Siez found a way to harness its power for the protection of her people.
