Hands of Mazzu

Lanjin Brassprocket has had his eye on one of the 7 seats of the Gnomish Council for some time now, and accepted the role of First Hand at the Mistbound Temple 3 years ago. The role of first hand is typically supposed to fall to the most senior cleric, monk, or druid, however, Lanjin a bard, and a poor one at that somehow quickly rose through the ranks and was appointed following his conversion of a number of smaller villages to the Irradeascent cause. That village proved to be a critical point in a resupply line for a battle with a gang of human outlaws who had been raiding villages. This Kobold Press painted his efforts as nothing less than heroic and for his service was granted the position at Firsthand of the Mistbound Temple.

History & Lore

The altar inside the main hall, The Fountain of Mystics is said to be water made solid and harder than Dwarven forged Darksteel. The magics that sustain the mistbound walls make them both solid and opaque, unlike most of the temples built the magics that sustain Mistbound are said to call back to the Old Gods, while few believe that, there is no denying that the magics that maintain the walls are like nothing else in the world. In the flooded basement of the temple is also said to be a small library and crypt where the combined knowledge and final resting places of each previous first hands reside.
The Temple also holds barracks for more than 25 devout irradeascent militants known as the Shimmering hand. Each of them take a devout vow, and to express this vow, their left hand is removed and they are given the blessing of Mazzu, replacing flesh with magic. In place of their lost limb, a blue glowing hand appears granting them not only full autonomy with it but additional magics only accessible to the most devout irradeascent
