Hotfoot Boots & Leatherwork

History:

A response to the mining industry that keeps the town viable, Hotfoot specializes in workwear for miners, especially when working in volcanic conditions. Crafted with hides brought in the The Old Guard a team of skilled laborers works night and day to keep the miners in safety equipment. While the specialty is workwear they also refurbish mining tools to handle the heat.
Their work has gained a much larger following than expected, but nowhere has their influence risen more than the Goblin volcanic homeland of Isle of Sky. Traders from the towns of Smoke Pont and No Water regularly show up with trade supplies and buy out their entire stock.

Ownership:

Hotfoot is owned by Spiro Fines, a leatherworker by necessity. Unable to withstand the grueling heat of the mines he was fired from his first job. He was then fired from his role as a scout in The Old Guard for his general lackluster performance in the field. Slow and aloof he was very well-equipped to be a scout. Finally, he took on an apprenticeship with a skilled leatherworker Bollin Meeks. When Meeks passed away he left the shop and all of his supplies to Fines.
