Briarwraith Terrace

History & Lore

The Briarwraith Terrace is the pride of Ossirion, extends for one mile and is elevated hundreds of feet above the surrounding cityscape. Actiong as the most notable combat venue in Elvish territory, many claim that though the toughest fighters my call Nin home, the most deft and skilled train and compete here. As one of the 4 major arenas in Espen, The Briarwraith Terrace engages combatants ability to navigate terrain and the everpresent challenge of a 300 foot drop.
The 8 story structure not only plays host to the Grand Concierge on the ground floor but also houses training grounds for the Ashen Savages (Floors 2 & 3), The Strongbow Archery (Floors 4 & 5), Woodwerx Carpentry (Floor 6), The Royal Menagerie (Floor 7) and the Briarwraith Terrace (Top Floor). The Terrace is divided into two sections to allow for multiple engagements simultaneously, more recently the combat royal format has gained popularity which can involve as many as 8 combatants competing at once.

Wardens

The Terrace is tended to by the Wardens. A sacred order of druids and monks that have served as groundskeepers, games masters, artisans, and chief botanists for every generation of Ashen Elders. While their duties include the upkeep of the Terrace grounds and the structure itself, they also serve as scribes and stewards to the Elders and Savages in training. The Wardens are revered throughout the city for their tireless work and mastery of the multitude of fields necessary to keep Ossirion safe and an entertaining place to live.
