First recognized after Rokram Blackguard, an orc of unparallel fighting spirit, secured a contract in Mithrigal to provide full security for the entire city following the First Genasi Rebellions. The contract carved a place for the Orcish people in Espen. Where before they had been relegated to the Broken Lands and the Orc Vein Trench. The initial contract was valid for 9 years, and initially, it appeared as though the contract would lapse and the BOSC would lose the rights to the Mithrigal's protection. However, in the final hours, the current head of the BOSC Thanalar Rosklayer secured a contract with Evolir. This change forced Mithrigal's Apostle King to reconsider his position on the Dwarves' ability to maintain the security of their city.
This new position only served to bolster the Orc's role in Espen's budding cultural scene and allowed them to leverage that position into another contract for Nattan Mal. This ensured the Orc place in Espen as enforcers and security professionals for centuries to come.
Today, the Orcs of BOSC are secure in their roles throughout Espen and have garnered respect through the land. This has allowed them to not only be seen as far more than brutes, instead, they are seen as sophisticated equals. However, this elevated position has made them outcasts among the Orc's of the Orc Vein Trench and caused somewhat of a divide in the culture.
