History

Garathor was originally assigned to guard Zak after he joined Kord's monks. The two were jointly assigned as the guards of Lady Amartheleth, Garathor by her husband and Zak to see if he would revert back to drow behavior.
The two protected Amartheleth from several assassination attempts and dangerous ambushes. Over the course of their many near death encounters the two became friends, and are seen together even when not guarding their charge.

History

Zaknafain was asked to be Lady Amartheleth's bodyguard by Grandmaster Severus. During his first year in this post, Zak developed feelings of affection for one of his charge's daughters, the priestess Mystra. When High Marshal Zashir chose Zaknafain to be his wife's next husband the relationship between Zak and Mystra was ended. Lady Amartheleth stands by her husband's decision, but would like to see Zak wed to her daughter instead.
