Direfolk

Direfolk are beings from another plane, the shadowlads, summoned forth to Erthwyr by Demon Pantheon soul magic to serve as soldiers in their conquest of Erthwyr known as the Demon wars. Direfolk brought forth to Erthwyr this way are bound in servitude and do not have freewill. After their host's defeat in 2E, Direfolk sought a way to pervade the pantheon's influence. While their motives are not always malicious or even apocalyptic, they are not easily trusted by other races, perhaps understandably - they certainly have a propensity for mischief and fuckery. Their physical forms manifest varyingly from lowly imps to lesser and even greater proportions, identifiable almost universally by horns, goat legs and cloven hooves.
