Island of Memories
A small island that is located in Pearl Bay. Many of the people of Bayedge believe the island is haunted by the Spirits of the dead. Only a few of the elders and wizards of the region know the truth about the Island.
Hidden among the caves of the island are ancient crystals believed to be formed by Essence that were used to create the different races that inhabit the worlds. These crystals contain the memories of the races; the important events and memories of the people seem to be trapped within the crystals. The few scholars that have studied these crystals have a belief that the crystals may have a hand in the process of the dead leaving the Mortal Realm and moving on to the Eternal Domain. That may explain how the memories become engrained in the crystals.
A person can access the memories of their race by finding the correct crystals and projecting their mind into the stone. It is dangerous because without the proper mental fortitude the memories of the crystals can overwhelm the person.
Geography
The small island is covered in woods and caves that go deep under ground.
Localized Phenomena
Spirits of the Dead wander the island, while they are not particularly threatening to any visitors of the island; they can be.
