Bar Hvi
The Bar Hvi is a great, sapphire blue lake in the desert region of Hvi. It has no current and is surrounded by palm groves and tree-filled marshes, with plentiful fish and birds. The area around it is littered with ancient ruins and tombs, and numerous varieties of butterflies flit across its clear waters. The Bar Hvi's history is murky and mythic. In ancient times, it was the heart of a vast territory—whose borders were lost to time—populated by powerful warriors who fought off invaders by building stone villages at the edge of its shores. Its people are renowned for their skill at navigation and seamanship, their ability to hold their liquor, and their prowess on horseback. But they are also a mystical people, filled with ideas of fate, destiny, foretelling and divination; an uncertain people; a superstitious people; and a people who love to sing songs of love.
