Wizard Wood Cove
Many stones ring this old, slightly overgrown, glade. In the center of the ring of stones, a statue of metal stands perfectly still. Though the birds chirp, old trees groan, and the forest life is vibrant here, there's an air of danger and power here.
Wizard Wood Cove
A flat stone off to side of the glen, possibly a seat, holds an item. Moving into the glen triggers a magical enchantment where the player must make a DC12 Int saving throw or be completely enamored with the creators of this stone monument. The player desires to know who created this place and is willing to do almost anything to find that out. Any player that is under the Stone's Charm effect shakes free of that if they're damaged or if they succeed on a DC12 Int saving throw, which they can attempt once each turn.
If a player is charmed, if they touch the metal work item, or the statue, it triggers an encounter with the statue, a Clockwork Watchman (Tome of Beasts, pg.65).
Once the guardian is defeated, it will state that the players have earned the item and return to it's place at the center of the ring.
If the players are defeated, Brindle Grace will find them and stabilize them. she will take any money they have, but otherwise leave them unharmed.
