Kagow died in a successful assassination by opposing political factions.
During Kagow's absence in the Heart of Shadows, the First Civilization underwent extreme political changes into a supremacist nation.
New leaders of the Ulaman Empire thought Kagow to be a relic of the past that was a danger to their reign. Not wanting to risk change, they simply planned an assissanation-audience and killed the unarmed Kagow in the throne room of the Arcane Spires of Chaos.
