Lavorika
Geography
The center of the continent is the vast basin of the Desert of the Pit surrounded by a fence-row of mountains. The north/northeast of the continent are covered in dense forests , trees glutted fat and tall on the abandoned farmlands of the Valusians. The very edge of the western coasts are similarly covered in forests, while the rest of the terrain forms a vast grassland Steppe.
Climate
For the most part, the climate of Lavorika is moist and mild. The exception is the central desert, which is dry save for a rainy season.
Fauna & Flora
All manner of Dragons haunt the steppes, though the faster Drakes are more common than the Behemoths. In the forests, Behemoths plod through the trees and graze as they please, and in the desert the Garglers migrate around in a massive circle.
Natural Resources
Mines beneath Lavorika produce gold, silver, iron, and demonstone.
History
Lavorika is a continent that was once, in the time of the serpent, almost entirely tamed and subjugated. What localities did not hold cities or towns were carefully curated nature preserves. After the doom of the Valusians, it rapidly deteriorated into wilderness.
It is still a rich environment for salvaging the old Valusian artifacts, some of which still work.
