Shaxzar (SHACK-sar)
The Dark Lord of Elves
Originally Fendel, High Protector of Elves, Shaxzar was a child of the Ancient Vale, raised in the Celestial Hills by Rastanion, Divine Medic, who was lost to the Gods during the War. After the creation of the Mortal Planes, Skaomune started to influence Shaxzar through His connection to the Underdark, which Shaxzar often visited, as the High Protector of the Drow that live there.
Slowly, but surely, Skaomune corrupted the young deity's mind and drew him to betray the Divine Council and join him in the Infernal Dominion as the Dark Lord of Elves, corrupting the minds of those Elves who turn from the path of good or are naturally Evil in nature, such as Dark Elves. This betrayal is what earned him the name Shaxzar, meaning 'Traitor' in Celestial.
This event also sparked the start of the War of the Gods, with the large swing in power, causing the balance between good and evil to become skewed, sparking the mortals' loss of faith in the 'good' Gods as the evil presence in the mortal planes increased. He usually appears as a large Elf, with flaming eyes, sharp teeth and long, demon-like horns. His Agents are renowned in legend in the Underdark, although tales of them are less common on the surface.
