Pith, the god of strength, protection and fortitude, is a well respected god. Those who worship him admire not only his overall resilience but also his strength of both body and mind. His humble and modest nature make him well known for being the kindest and most selfless of the Gods. Many claim that Pith is an enormous, burly man with skin that shines like polished gold, and a heart twice as big as his brain.
Pitch welcomes any who seek to follow his examples of humility and kindness. Pith’s worshipers are often both charitable and selfless, as well as mentally and physically strong. Generally the churches are simple and practical and serve multiple purposes. Many of them are open all day and night, to serve the needs of the poor and sick. Clergy of Pith are seen openly inviting clergy of other deities to aid them in their care of the poor and sick. Soup kitchens are normally seen in Pith’s temples.
Pith’s church is also a church of protection. When people have nowhere to turn, nowhere to be safe, it is the Church of Pith that shields them from danger. The clergy of a temple of Pith would fight to their last breath to protect the innocent, the downtrodden, the hungry and the tired.
Clergy of Pith are often also carpenters, smiths, laborers, or guardians. Churches of Pith are mostly shelters, providing for the homeless or sickly. They are simple structures constructed with the clergy’s own hands, and often contains chambers where non-clergy can sleep and rest. Fleet and @Writ, aiding the daily chores of other faiths in service to Pith.
The armed clergy of Pith are called the Aegis of Pith, and they are sworn to protect the innocent, no matter where they are found. Upon reaching this title, an Aegis of Pith will often travel the world and aid people wherever they can. They can be seen building homes, feeding the homeless, or even things as simple as carrying firewood for an old woman who can no longer carry them to her home. Pith’s high clergy are referred to as the Tenacious. They maintain the temples of Pith, while also maintaining their own bodies, for the day may be called for them to aid the Aegis of Pith in the defense of the weak and against evil.
