Mothfrond

A species of near flightless, grounded birds, the Mothfrond, titled thanks to the strange, feathered fronds that sprout from their heads which mimic the antennae of a moth, reside within the large sweeping prairies of southern Kuhlaine and northern Ethaesca and Astrindon. They are a near fearless and quite inquisitive species, despite their relatively small stature and fairly large quantity of predators. This fearless nature often makes them unfortunate easy hunting for the sapient races, but for other animals that try to prey on them, it can make them a tough target, especially when a predator attempts to pick one off from a group of them, as the entire flock will come to the individual's defense, which can spell the demise of an unprepared attacker.
