Mimicthaan

Intelligent, but not fully sapient beasts which have been afflicted with a form of lycanthropic disease which turns a normal, feral animal into a were-creature of their kind that is incapable of assuming a human form, only a were-form and original feral form. Any animal the size of a raccoon or larger can be afflicted this way, no matter if a mammal, reptile or other genus. The disease is extremely virulent, and is quite possibly magical in origin as beasts affected by the disease should only be slain on a moonless night or during an eclipse. If slain at any other time, the blood of the beast will infect other organisms and will pass the affliction on to any other potential host creature that drinks tainted water or eats infected plants or smaller animals. Thus, when dealing with Mimicthaan, RISE will only send its agents to hunt the creatures during the aforementioned times.
