Djinn

Sapient beings which are constructed of pure forces of the universe that often form within large @Ley Fonts and serve as masters of the domain within that small pocket of the world, Djinn are considered the most powerful individual beings known to exist to the races of Erlyse. They are beholden to no one, have devised their own creed which differ from Djinn to Djinn, and can be exceedingly fickle whenever dealing with the civilized races. It is believed that the Djinn have extrasensory abilities that are not understood by the humanoid races, as that is the only explanation why they share any form of social customs with the other denizens of Erlyse, but the truth may be far more complex and likely lost to history.
All Djinn, however, despite their vast reservoir of near limitless potential with magic and elemental forces, are tethered to the Ley Font which serves as their lifeforce, and thus unable to travel about freely. This has ultimately limited contact with the other sapient races of Erlyse to only when a mortal being discovers a Ley Font where a Djinn resides, and it isn’t exactly like the Djinn are willing to be studied for the sake of science.
