The Gilded Cage

The Gilded Cage is a phenomena that surrounds the continent of Eris . It is a dense yellow fog located several hundred miles off the shore of Eris that extends to the upper atmosphere and is rumored to reach to the seafloor.

The Gilded Cage is famously considered the bane of sailors in search of new lands to explore: no vessel or individual that has entered the thick yellow fog of the Cage has ever returned. the only other Region aside from the Erisian Continent contained within the Gilded Cage are The Darklands, to which its northwestern-most coast meets with the Cage itself.
