Tunnel Rats Scyphers

The Tunnel Rats of Mergewater use a unique set of ciphers that are used to send warnings and information to other members of the gang without others knowing. The ciphers and symbols are usually drawn in chalk outside entrances to Mergewater Smuggler's Tunnels which cris-cross under the city.   Symbols:
  • □ - A square signifies a cache with other symbols below depicting what is inside said cache.
  • ◫ - A Square with a line through is a cache that has been partially, but not fully cleared
  • ◼ - A Filled square is an empty cache, to signify that everything has been cleared out.
  • ▣ - A Square within another square signifies
  • ← → ↑ ↓ - Arrows point in the opposite direction of previous symbols. The opposite direction is to throw off those who may find the symbols.
  • △ - A Triangle shows an entry point to a tunnel
  • ◬ - A Triangle with a dot shows a tunnel that ends in a room or a dead-end.
  • ◭◮ - A half filled triangle shows a tunnel with a tight curve or is maze-like. The side that has been filled shows which wall to follow for quickest navigation.
  • ▲ - A filled triangle means that a tunnel that is normally open is blocked or has collapsed.
  • ✘ - A cross signifies danger
  • ☒ - A Cross in a square shows that the location has been compromised, usually by the Lyrinthian Crownsguard
  • ○ - Circle Building is owned by the Tunnel Rats 
  • ◎ - Circle in a circle represents the person inside is an ally of the Tunnel Rats 
  • ◍ - Circle with lines means the person inside has betrayed the Tunnel Rats 
  • ● - A Filled circle represents an enemy of the Tunnel Rats
