Silver Folk
The Silver Folk hail from a mountainous region in northern Sandryne and the Merchant Houses of Craw. The Silver Folk call these mountains Saithen's Range, but outsiders simply call them the Silver Mountains, as much for the silver-haired people who live there as for the silver mined out of the mountains. Saithen's Range separates the southern tip of Corynos from the great Pashtu Desert north of it, and the Silver Folk rarely venture over them, finding little joy in the intense heat and sun of the desert.
The Silver Folk have lived in Saithen's Range for thousands of years and were some of the first humans to settle the highlands at the feet of the mountains after The Shift. Their culture largely revolves around mining, hunting, trapping and fishing the streams, rivers and lakes that dot the range.
Long in their history the Silver Folk would revere the mountains as gods, and being born with silvery hair and gray eyes was considered a mark of favor from those gods, and those fortunate enough to be born with them were elevated to priesthood, rulers, or other positions of high honor. A thousand years removed from those traditions and now they're merely considered marks of good luck. Indeed, centuries of interbreeding with the peoples of Sandryne and Craw have made both traits quite rare in a single individual.
Today the Silver Folk still have their own gods, mostly consisting of powerful mountain, and forest spirits, and a few customs unique to them.
