Parador

Paradors house writers in the Free City of Bernice; they are owned and operated by the clergy of Bernice. Any writer may sleep and dine at a parador at no cost, provided they meet the writing requirements to stay.
Accommodations in paradors can range from that of a hostel to luxury suites.

Requirements to Stay

The standard rule often heard for parador eligibility is one literary work per quarter, however this is a highly simplified view of things. A short story and a dissertation on the many uses for Suneater Scorpion carapace are two very different things, and they are not weighed the same by the clergy. 
Some writers go their own way and write what they feel, but others prefer to take on assignments from the Scriptori to fill literary needs. One benefit to working for the Scriptori is a fast track to better housing assignments.
