Conna Character in Ereza | World Anvil

Conna

Born into House of the Coin; Conna's sister. Lizbet, was tapped with the duty to rule.   Growing up, to Rena society, Conna was always the height of sophistication. Any trend she didn't start herself, she was an early adopter of; flawless style was her signature. In her private moments, her usually intricately done hair would be swept up into a kerchief and her gowns swapped for leathers, to make it easy for her to climb the cliff sides. Dangling miles above the ocean, she would crawl down the rocks and feel free. In her climbing she found a cave that housed a giant, desiccated nests at the back. She wondered if whatever had once lived had given life to the myth of the roc- giant eagles that both tormented and assisted the Rena in the stories of her people's past. She turned the cave into a workshop hideaway where she could keep her secret self.   She was in the cave, after the release, when Chuska, it's former occupant, newly freed from her Simulacrum, arrived home. Conna fled the initially angry Chuska, but after settling in, the giant eagle saw that while Conna had made herself at home in the cave, she still respected Chuska's space and nest. Chuska found Conna, causing a quite a fuss, and invited Conna back.   Later they carved out an additional space for Chuska’s children. Conna fell for, and married, a brave young warrior, Wyam, who made a name for himself after the return of the magical creatures by slaying the ones who went mad from the changed world. After having her older daughter, Yssabet, she brought her regularly to the cave with her. Conna’s husband, Wyam, is not a cliff guy, and her younger daughter, while thinking the eagles beautiful, does not have any desire to fly with them or to be on the cliffs. Wyam had a huge tower with a pulley lift built in their home for Chuska to build a nest so that she and her family could come and stay as they pleased.   Her two daughters seemed to each have ended up with one side of her personality: one a society elite, the other wild and free.
