Allurna Geographic Location in Ereza | World Anvil

Allurna

Allurna is the smaller, in the night sky, of the two moons that orbit Ereza.   This moon takes so long to complete its cycle, ~385 days, that all four season pass in the time. Due to this, the people of Ereza are able to track the passing of the year by Allurna's phases. The larger appearing moon, Eyna, moves much faster with a ~24 day cycle time.     It is considered to be a day of great power when Eyna's phase perfectly matches with Allurna's. This phenomenon is celebrated  eight times a year: at the New Moons, Waxing Crescents, First Quarter Moons, Waxing Gibbous Moons, Full Moons, Waning Gibbous Moons, Third Quarter Moons, and finally the Waning Crescent Moons. Each of the conjunctions have become associated with a specific deity, or deities, in the Seese Pantheon.
See the Calendar for more information on the Moons and holidays.
