The Keyori Knights

The Keyori where the royal knights of Ethlandir. When the king lost his power and the crown was split their presence along with the hero Aweia kept the families and the church of light from falling into war. The knights promised to stand ready for the day the crown would bloom again safekeeping a piece of it. The order now without a king took Aweia as their Grandmaster, who held the position for a time before passing it onto her successor Gwethain. Aweia removed herself from the public eye, but her continued existence served as a powerful backing for the organization. Realizing that for the order to survive they would need firm structure, Gwethain instated the rules and leadership structure that the order uses to this day. Needing purpose the Keyori took to noble work thereafter defending the people where the law couldn’t or wouldn’t reach, though they lost much of their power and renown as the years passed. Later in the organizations life when bad leadership, time, and political pressure had drained their funds dry the order was nearly sworn to the service of the Esperithel family. Despite being many milenium past her natural lifespan Aweia revealed herself to the world once again preventing the order from losing its independence. To quell the battles between the Keyori and the noble families the Great Advisor agreed to fund the Keyori as long as they agreed to remain neutral to the politics of the 5 kingdoms ever after.
