Athos

The region of western Athos - most commonly referred to simply as "Athos" - is home to a great diversity of creatures and civilizations. It is said that the blessings of the Inner Sea are carried on the winds west to the Fertile Plains, thus providing the lands there with great abundance. The Loztegor Forest intimidates even the most seasoned travelers with the immensity of the creatures who dwell there. The Shield Mountains -- heart of the famous dwarven kingdoms -- separate the Fertile Plains from the lands by the coast by nearly impassable peaks and valleys. The Cursed Desert is said to be cursed by an ancient evil that seeks to end all life, held at bay by the Sheild Mountains and the blessings of the Inner Sea. And finally, the Everlasting Forest: a place of chill winds and harsh weather patterns, but also of eternal life in the face of such a strange climate.
It is clear that Athos has great diversity of climates and thus of the people who call them home.
