Ypt

Possibly mythical land supposedly in the far southwest of Erdde, beyond Omalo.
When the New Gods arrived on Erdde, they brought with them Men and supposedly left them in Ypt.
Even the wisest sages in Ettrea know little of Ypt. No mention of it has so far been found in either the First or Second Library.
One common theme in the earliest legends of Ypt is that the earliest kingdom eventually fell into evil and ruin. This earliest kingdom is thus named Ypt-Before-The-Fall in the myths. If Ypt-Before-The-Fall was started when the New Gods came to Erdde (and therefore around the same time as the Old Empire), it would be something like ten thousand years ago. In the thousands of years since the collapse of Ypt-Before-The-Fall, several other kingdoms and empires are said to have ruled over roughly the same territory. Esoteric scholars name these successor states "Second Ypt", "Third Ypt" and so forth, though there is little solid evidence for their existence.
