Ema

One of the Old Gods. Ema created the "ball of stone" that became Erdde . When the Old Gods claimed their domains, Ema claimed the Domain of Stone.
Ema created the Gift of Death, to separate the Gods and Spirits from lesser creatures. At the Godmoot, Ema sensed the growing opposition of Eyal to the Gift. She created Kostchtchie from stone and her own blood (to be immortal) and then the Dwarves from stone. To the dwarves she gave the Gift of Death.
At the Godmoot, Eyal demanded that Ema explain the 'Gift of Death'. The debate lasted for ages of Erdde but no common ground could be found. The gods divided into two factions - one led by Eyal that favoured granting immortality to the lesser races, and one led by Ema that favoured giving them the Gift of Death. This second faction is what we now know as The Demons . When people talk of Old Gods now, they mean the first faction.
The dispute between the Gods and the Demons became a war - The First GodsWar. While Ema nominally led the Demons, she left command of the Demon army to others - notably Demogorgon. After one particularly large battle which ended in a stalemate, Ema and Eyal fought each other in single combat and Ema slew Eyal. Overcome with grief and regret not just for the death of Eyal, but for the division which had come to the Old Gods, Ema withdrew deep beneath the surface of Erdde.
