Clodoard

Eldest son of the Emperor Adalbard. The unpopular Adalbard wanted Clodoard to succeed him, but the nobility of the Empire wanted anyone but Clodoard. This dispute led to war and the rules of succession were eventually formalised as Grand Conclave.
