Besilmer

Ancient Hill Dwarf kingdom in the Dessarin Valley. The kingdom lasted a thousand years, but fell to Trolls and Giants some five thousand years ago. The Halls of the Hunting Axe , a ruined dwarf village on the edge of the High Forest , possibly dates back to the time of Besilmer.
In dwarven legends, Besilmer’s capital is named “Tyar-Besil”, but no such city has ever been found.
While few above-ground ruins remain, several of Besilmer’s remarkable dwarf roads still criss-cross the valley, including the Long Road from Brandbrug through Red Larch to Iriboar, the River Road from Tarza to Yartar , the Gold Road from Brandbrug to Goldenfields and the Cairn Road from Red Larch to Beliard .
