Averi Martell

High Elf Count of Martel.
Averi was the highest ranked elf noble in Sigsland at the time of the Triarchist Crusade, and he was known to be a Triarchist. He spoke out in favour of triarchism in the face of Church condemnation and was branded a heretic by the Bishop of Irilian shortly before the beginning of the war.
When war broke out, Count Martel raised an army from his own people in the County of Martel and from sympathisers in Estwater, Flaxingen and the Iril Valley. However, the Church army that moved into Sigsland from the west was far larger and easily defeated the Martel army at the Battle of Elfbridge. Averi's forces were routed and he was captured, tried for heresy and executed.
