Dark Elves

Dark-Elves, or Drow in thier own dialect, inhabit the subterranian environs of the Deep Vaults below Erath. They posess similar angular features and flawless skin, but in shades of deep blue, purple, and dark gray. Their eyes vary in shades of red and violet and thier hair is often some shade of white, silver, grey, or platinum. They are typically a head shorter than most other elves standing about five and a half feet tall and have a slim and lean build. They posess an exceptional form of darkvision that extends beyond that of dwarf or orc and alows them to perscieve body heat. They are particulaly resistant to poisons and are naturally arcanely gifted.   Before the Spell Break the Drow, then called the Derathi, dwelt in caves neighboring dwarves. Using magic they build magnificent subterranian cities and were skilled at shaping and forging adamantium. When the spell break occured they journeyd deeper underground to escape the destruciton of thier cities. Isolated and lost they startd crying out in desperation to the gods who at this time were silent. Then they started crying out to whatever would listen offering anything and everything, and eventually something answered back. Arachne the Mistress of Web took what they were willing to sacrifice and promisd them vengence on the surface that had abandoned them. Now drow are vile, sadistic, cruel, and violent. They dispise surface dwellers especially other elves and see all other races as foder to be slaughtered and subjugated.
