A Continent of Dragons with No Dragons
In the Winter of 1768 of the Second Age, the 3rd Dragon War ended as suddenly as it had begun. The dragons, across the entirety of the world all suddenly stopped, suspended in an un natural stasis, and the words of the gods ceased. Upon Ioban where the dragon clans ruled their mortal vassals, anarchy soon took hold. Not only did their dragon lords abandon them to this unnatural sleep but so too did those chosen to be the bonded Kindred of the Dragons, in a snap of a finger everyone of authority within this society was gone. Some clans were quick to fill the power vacuums, others were paralyzed in confusion, others still devolved into bitter conflicts. 17 years have since passed, the majority of clans have re established order, a continuation of policy and government, taken efforts to retrieve their dragon and kindred lords trapped in foreign lands and the quesion of the future looms. Among Clan Amaranthis, the Amethyst clan of most prominence must make the choice to restore and strengthen the Council of Dragonkind, or to strengthen themselves and forge a new path to a United Ioban. This however is not as simple as it sounds, for others now whisper of a world where they are not subservient to the will of Dragons. With the festival of High Spring and the coming new year, the Council faction of Amaranthis is hosting a massive festival to celebrate the comming of a new year. Inviting deligates and peoples from across Ioban to use the great teleportation beacon of the Council Ary and rekindle good relations thru these competitions, celebrations, and festivities. Prominent families of clan Amaranthis will be present, subtly disrupting or aiding the Councilist factions goals, and looking for their own opportunities to tip the scales of power.
