Mage Collar
These metal devices are enchanted neck collars that prevent the wearer from using magic. This can be temporarily lifted by the person holding the leash. The collar has a few chain links hanging from it. Magically linked to these chain links are another set of chain links attached to a bracelet. Whoever is wearing the bracelet can sense the feelings of the collar wearer.
There are two types of collars, mechanical and magical. The mechanical ones have a lock at the neck while the magical doesn't. The advanced are instead unlocked using a magical keyword. An additional effect of the collar is that the wearer can't remove it. If they were to attempt to remove it, they would get incredibly nauseous.
Some bracelets are connected to multiple collars.
The bracelets can magically create a physical chain to the collars within a certain range.
How many collars exist in the world is unknown, but it is probably one of the most common ones in the world, due to their usefulness in subduing mages.
