Terran is a heavily modified version of English with many dialects and variations depending on where one travels throughout terran controlled space.

Geographical Distribution

This is the State-Official language of the FTS and all FTS regulated areas. By law, you must be fluent in Terran in order to maintain a job or qualify for citizenship, amongst other things.
