Aris takes on an apprentice.
Aris reluctantly takes an apprentice, Katri Newsome. Unbeknownst to her, she will quickly grow attached to the young girl, later claiming her as a niece. Katri's involvement proves to be the push Aris needs to begin questioning staying in First Class. She begins discussing her doubts with Nerissa and Ione, who harbor similar feelings, albeit in a more personal sense. They decide to wait for victory in the fighting, when Jenni will likely be more inclined to grant them more freedom.
