Southern Peak
A popular saying in Eshneff'il says that "you must visit Southern Peak at least once in your life to become a fulfilled man"
Southern Peak is one of the three main cities of the empire of the south, Eshneff'il. Though its location at the southernmost part of the empire, it was its historical capital, relinquishing that title to the portuary city Ekonu only about 100 years after the founding of the empire. Nevertheless, Southern Peak is a thriving city, of average size with very rich historical patrimony and a very equal, but exotic society.
Demographics
Southern Peak's demographics are very homogeneous. The city is mostly inhabited by caravan traders that see it as the hub to their desert expeditions, or rich retired merchants that wish to open a small shop for collectors only.

Defences
Southern Peak is well defended with a highly advanced technical defense system never seen before. Though it has no wizards protecting it, every inhabitant is willing to take up arms to defend the city, including the nobles. This is why a well organized militia patrols the area even in the surrounding villages to stop raids and protect caravans.
Industry & Trade
Southern Peak is the main hub to all The Eshneff desert's caravans. Otherwise, it is also a collectors haven, with its rare goods and treasures.
Infrastructure
As the former and historical capital of the Empire, the city's infrastructure is without flaw and adapted to the harsh desert climate. Drinking fountains at every corner, clean streets and citizens ready to care for basic needs for free, even for strangers.
Assets
Southern Peak has stores with very rare collector's items, but that makes it also very expensive. Every year, the city's nobles also organize treasure hunts, artificial or genuine, in which everyone can participate in, even slaves.

History
Southern Peak is the oldest city of the Eshneff'il Empire. It is said that the city was created after the first emperor, that is now venerated as a demigod, decided to settle on the highest dune in the desert after decades of living in a nomadic caravan. About 100 years after the official creation of Eshneff'il the first Emperor's successor decided to leave Southern Peak to found a new capital by the sea, Ekonu, leaving behind some of the oldest families of the Empire, known as the ancient nobility. Since then, the city has continued its caravan trade for 1000 years, accepting all who arrive in these harsh desert conditions.
Architecture
Southern Peak has a unique and exotic architecture, reminiscent of an ancient time. Houses or made out of hardened sandstone with unique roofs.
Geography
Southern Peak was constructed on what is said to be the largest and highest dune On the Continent. Because the sand composing it has amassed over thousands of years, its structure has become permanent.
Natural Resources
As Southern Peak is constructed on sand, it has no natural resources to speak of, except sand. However, the moderate and specific climate permits the growing of exceptional plants found nowhere else on the Continent.
