Warlords of Dragonrest

History

The ancient warlords of Dragonrest were a group of fierce and fearless warriors who lived in the mountainous region of Dragonrest - Tamori. During the Origin Age, they were known throughout the domain as some of the greatest dragon slayers of all time. They were a proud group who had built their homes and settlements deep within the mountains. They lived off the land, hunting and farming to sustain themselves, but their true passion was hunting dragons. They saw these creatures as a great threat to their way of life, and as a result, they devoted their lives to the art.   Over time, their reputation spread far and wide, venturing into the jagged dark cliffs armed with nothing but their wits, their courage, and their weapons and armor made of Dragon-Lead - a heated alloy of metal and dragon bone. The warlords' success did not go unnoticed, however. As they continued to kill more and more dragons, the remaining creatures became evermore aggressive, attacking the communities under the warlords' protection and causing widespread destruction. Despite the danger, the warlords refused to back down, and they continued their quest to rid these great beasts.   This cycle of dragon hunting and retaliation continued for centuries, until one day, a new force emerged that would put an end to it all. Goliathon, Dragon God, appeared from the skies and declared war on the warlords. With his immense power and ferocious strength, Goliathon was able to wipe out every single one of the warlords, putting an end to their dragon hunting once and for all. There was no competition.   In the end, the warlords of Dragonrest left behind a legacy that would be remembered for generations to come in the minds of the Tamoric people, yet seldom reached beyond.
