The Battle of Black Wings

Military action

A Decisive battle between the Platinum Crusade (aka. the Godless Horde) and Dominion of Scales. In this battle the lizard folk and many of the kobolds in the Dominion's main army betrayed their Dragonborn masters and attacked both armies. A flight of juvenile black dragons numbering in the hundreds bolstered the lizard folk and kobolds. Despite this the Platinum Crusade took the field.

The Dominion of Scales legions sortied from Fort Vengeance to cut off the approaching Platinum crusade as it wended it's way through the narrow mountain baths leading into Dominion territory. Though the forces arrayed were of equivalent forces and powers, The Time of Terror was about to begin as a flight of juvenile black dragons under the influence of Tiamat moved to support the rebellious forces of the Dominion.   As the Dominion Forces turned upon one another. Saint Gerimar the Bold commanded the legion forces to hold back in defensive formations, allowing the Dominion forces to whittle one-another down. Only after he saw the lizard folk cutting down surrendering Dragonborn did he order his forces forward. The armies of the Crusade moved swiftly in formations formulated only moments before as Gerimar observed the dragon attacks and adjusted his forces to be able to skirmish effectively with them.
