Large well established village, with large orchards and fields located close to the Jars Forest. Held by Serr Harlowe Welkan, a distinguished warrior of Clan Welkan (a tall 5 story stone walled Manor house having ~10,000 sq ft), whose current Head of Clan is B’ran Welkan of Caer Welkan. The village, surrounded by a wooden palisade, has 65 families of whom 11 are peasant families and 54 are stenix families. The current population is 402 with 262 of adult age. Serr Welkan has 61 member in the household staff which includes the weapon-smith and armourer as well as the foresters.
There are 2 leagues 2 leagues of braken the village claims as wasteland. The village has 3 blacksmiths and 3 woodcrafters, a weaponsmith, an armourer, and 2 masons, 8 stockmen, 2 Foresters, 2 millers (there are 2 windmills on nearby hills that fall within the dominion of the Manor) and 33 farming households. The peasant families provide 8 farming households, one horse handler, one shepherd and one cowherd who owe fealty to the clan.
The village can also be called upon to provide 11 Spearmen, 4 Archers and 3 cavalrymen.
There is a Hedge Witch who is 25 years old (lvl 3) who provides various potions, remedies and protection from curses. Her mentor was killed several years ago without completing her apprentices' teaching, but her teacher did leave some very excellent books and documents.
Everyone is talking about growing into a cadet clan but the Uncle to the B’ran lives here.
The villagers have partitioned for a church but were recently denied and are upset.
