Silent Isle
Geography
The Silent Isle lies off the coast of the Kingdom of Alteria and Clearwater . It had been used originally during the times of the The Westreach Federation as an island for ships to moor in if they were caught in a storm and it boasted a mighty lighthouse. With the collapse of the federation the island feel into disrepair and eventually all contact was cut off and nothing was heard form its inhabitants again. Once Alteria and Clearwater formed and reorganized themselves they each sent out expedition forces to secure the island. battles were fought and eventually Alteria prevailed in setting up an outpost. However, contact again was cut off. when the Alterians went to investigate no sign of the settlers could be found. Three more times Alteria sent settlers to inhabit the island and three times more they disappeared. In the end Alteria gave up and left the island to its fate.
Large mountains mark the western side of the island while the eastern side is home to large tropical forests. Mt. Takka lies on the southern end of the isle and although is has not erupted in centuries it is live.
Once Bosh, Diaz, Ka'uhane, and Knuckles arrived on the island they succeeded in eliminating the oppressive presence of the powerful nature Dryad who was responsible for the disappearances on the isle. They continued their work and have reclaimed the town of Trapperport now named Boshton . The Lighthouse has also been rebuilt and fashioned into a fortress.
The city-state of Boshton now controls the entire island and a few other cities have sprung up on different parts of the island.
Fauna & Flora
The island is known for its tropical nature. Warm breezes and ever present rains cause the island to be filled with lush vegetation. Large plants are everywhere and bamboo groves grow so think it can take a whole regiment of men to cut a path. Very few animals roam the island save for wild pigs and a plethora of species of birds.
Natural Resources
Bamboo can be found in extremely large quantities on the island and a few of the mountains have shown trace amounts of copper and iron. Mt. Takka provides the island with heat and a nearly unlimited amount of energy for forging and smithing.
