Ignisia, God of Fire and Light

"Ignisia is the heart of the world, the great life giver who's anger can be felt throughout wind, water, air and earth. The Heart pulses with radiance that you can glimpse at from the edges of the continent. History tells of the Great Prophet, Malburk, who voyaged to the edges of the known world and saw with his own eyes the Great Heart of Ignisia and became its avatar. He wrote of how It screamed in pain and wrath, its anger at our heretical brothers of Crowhaven, who let abominations and aberrations step within our holy world. Eor-Ertha, Ignisia's body, is dying and breaking from the dark influence of the Prime Evil, Nyarlat."

Spread

The Myth of Ignisia is spread out all across the lands of Eagle's Rest. However, some of the Church of Light have begun to spread into the territories of Crowhaven, converting far off burgs that are out of the immediate vicinity of Crowhaven.

Cultural Reception

The House of Illumination of Crowhaven believe the myth of Ignisia to be false. It is zealotry and a misguided religion.

In Literature

The Great Library of Eagle's Rest holds many tales of Ignisia and heroes of old from the days that the world broke. Tales of a man who first stepped into the Heart to become the avatar of Ignisia are held in high regard. Saint Malburk is the name of the hero, also known as the Great Prophet

In Art

Ignisia is often portrayed as a woman of fiery hair and pale beauty. But others have also portrayed the God as a ball of flame that holds the world together or as a warrior clad in dark iron.

Date of First Recording

During the events of the Tearing of the World. This is a largely unknown part of history. It lasted for hundreds of years if not a little less.
