Bearn (a.k.a. Bearn (When spelled wrong))
Baern is a Dune Dwarf currently investigating the Hidden Shrine with Petunia, Enna, Art, Sching, and Kriv.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Baern's physical health can easily be considered great in all aspect except for his lifting capabilities. He's relatively fast, he doesn't get sick very often, but in the event he meets an object that can't be destroyed or lifted by a Tenser's Disk he is out of luck.
Body Features
Baern has black hair, a rare trait indeed, but not to a degree to make him stand out majorly in a crowd. He also has a large beard, but it would be much more unusual for him to not have this than it is for him to have it.
Identifying Characteristics
A black, alien, esoteric mark is on his forehead. Less obviously, Baern's eyes are gold in color, which is an extremely odd trait for someone to have.

Bearn is a strong Wizard and is thus in possession of magical abilities.

Baern wears a blue-lined, belted robe on his torso and magical Slippers of Spider Climbing upon his feet.
Specialized Equipment
Baern is especially adept in predictions, even outside of his magic which may be why he is so easily a savant at it. While he doesn't do it often Baern is also quite capable of brewing his own alcohol using the supplies he often has on hand.

Personal history
Baern's young life was spent in Mentian, travelling from town to town in search of better and more varied Wizards of which to learn from in hopes of getting more adept in his magical studies. He chose this nontraditional approach to learning, rather than going to a College, because of his already prodigious take on magic. Were it not for Baern's want to learn more about it in his early life it may have had him develop moreso as a Sorcerer rather than a trained Wizard. It is because of this same innate prodigiousness though that has lead Baern to being neglectful when it comes to restudying his tomes and spells.
During these Mentian travels Baern came upon Cera's grandfather's tinkering carriage where upon meeting Cera herself, they hit it off quickly as friends. Baern eventually persuaded her to come with him, journeying through Mentian, while also being able to run her grandfather's business, just now on foot which would allow the business to cover twice as much ground. After quite some time had passed since the beginning of their travels together they met Darastrix, who would prove to be a unique kind of Lizardfolk as well as a mutual fourth friend of the group, but one day he up and vanished and the group never heard from him again. With the three of them now joined they had goals to set out beyond Mentian, to other regions, and set out they did. They took their travels to Waterdeep, and the rest would now be history.

Baern has gone to university, as most wizards have, but while there he did not study well. He was a protege that easily retained information from memory without study.
Employment
Baern's spent most of his "employment" before becoming an adventurer as a student of one of the many schools of Wizardry, but notably after realizing he already knew most of what he needed to know for being a Wizard, he left his college in favor or travelling with his friends, Darastrix and Cera.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Baern managed to become a successful Wizard without the need to completely attend college, as many happen to do, already being a prodigy when it comes to the Arcane.
Failures & Embarrassments
Baern failed to keep his mind safe from the influence of The Bard, and now suffers with the voice of The Bard ringing in the back of his mind, and a dark, esoteric mark on his forehead.

During his journey into the Hidden Shrine in Dracojune, Baern had an encounter with The Bard causing an esoteric mark to appear on his forehead and the voice of The Bard to be ever in his mind.

Bearn is extremely good at card games, although it is thought that this is due to him cheating through divination abilities.
Likes & Dislikes
Baern carries with him an intense hatred for Bards, even outside of the apparent affliction he has with one, but mainly the magic they possess. Those that don't have to put any amount of study into their magic, like a Sorcerer, Warlock, or Bard, appears to be predispositioned against Baern.

While maybe not an optimist, Baern can usually be found in a happy state! In his current situation though, he may seem out of character in The Hidden Shrine.
Vices & Personality flaws
Despite his displeasement with those that don't need to do any amount of study for their magic, Baern himself does not do a lot of studying. Where as Wizards may normally do a daily or weekly review of their spells to stay on top of their game, Baern doesn't do that. In fact, there may be months in between Baern doing reviews of his spellbooks outside of him changing what he has prepared for any given day.

Baern has a family back in Mentian, but he treats Cera and Darastrix maybe as even closer.
