House Rakonor

House Rakonor is one of the preeminent magical  bloodlines of Hinsor. Dating all the way back to the Founding of the Empire, House Rakonor proudly boasts a long line of incredibly talented mages, dedicated politicians and educators, and influential philanthropists. In addition to having an established seat in the Mages' Council (Seat 3, or the College Seat), House Rakonor is also the founding (and most contributing) House of the Rothler College of Magework in Osimler, and has produced famous leaders and inventors such as Garril Rakkim, Lyeash Bladecrafter, Cenyir the Alchemist, and Nysler.   Though House Rakonor is known primarily for its strong mages and its contributions to the magical community of Hinsor, there are notable members of the House who pursued careers and professions unrelated to magework (such as Lyeash Bladecrafter) or those who were born without the family magics at all (such as Cenyir the Alchemist).   Rakvor of Atasy is considered to be the founding member of House Rakonor. He supported Leriti At'tinu as a Battlemage in her quest to conquer humankind during the rise of the Hinsor Empire, serving as commander of the Haosnal, an elite squad of mages who supported the Brotherhood of Unity in battle. As a reward for his years of faithful service, Rakvor was risen to become the first Lord Rakonor, ruling over the county of Veruntlye, a territory which included his own hometown of Atasy. According to Rakvor's own writings however, he could trace the magic in his bloodline back nine generations. Despite the nebulous nature of this claim, many references to the length of House Rakonor's bloodline (particularly those written by members of the House) include those nine generations in its count.   Lord Rakonor was succeeded as Lord Rakonor by his only son to marry, Chamos Rakonor.
