Q'al Cune

Purpose / Function

Q'al Cune is built atop the oldest structure in Themeria, a single simple house that once belonged to the first of the nation's lords serving as the center for the rest of the incredible building to unfold. It is primarily a place of worship, but much of its halls and prayer rooms can easily be converted into lecture halls. Q'al Cune is often a site of pilgrimage for studious magicians and devout clerics all over Ec'algor, its halls revered by all those who seek non-physical knowledge.

Alterations

At its heart is a small wooden shack, the first place of living for Themeria's oldest royalty. Since, a glorious structure has encased it, marble and turquoise are woven together seamlessly as though a quilt, the walls and halls of Q'al Cune hum with the ocean sounds of the island and the hymns of religious practitioners.   Remarkably, the large domelike structure that rests at the top of Q'al Cune has a support beam running down its center that still connects to the original shack, in a sense connecting the entire building to its roots.   Alterations have also been made to the buildings practices, as Lady Kirelee has shifted its main teachings away from archetypically benevolent moon deities to more fearsome sea gods, such as her preferred deity Auril. Lady Kirelee's understanding is that by communing with these apoplectic beings and giving them worship, they can calm the rampant seas.
