The Astray Wanderer

The Astray Wanderer is a mythological figure that is said to be descended from the man who first killed god. Stepping into his ancestor's footsteps, he killed the same god who had returned in order to destroy his own creation, remaking the world in the process.

Life Before the Cataclysm

Little is known of his life overall, yet his parents are said to have died when he was still 16 during a war in which their fields were set aflame. He subsequently joined up a mercenary force in which he learned the basics of combat, which would prove invaluable for his struggle against god.

Life During the Cataclysm

For most of the events of the cataclysm, he was completely unaware of what exactly was happening: all he knew was that the world as he knew it was destroyed, and it only started reappearing piece by piece through the resurfacing of memories. Yet just like his forefather before him, he was filled with an unquenchable desire to live, and so went on a crusade to restore the world he once loved, not even knowing whether he had the first chance of victory.
After defeating a Lich, an Angel, and a Reaper, the god had to face this seemingly inexperienced boy himself. Unbeknownst to even the god himself, it was the latters' fears and thoughts of how the wanderer might be able to win the fights that granted him the strength to do so in the first place. Eventually, even the god themselves laid slain before his feet and the world could very slowly start to recover and rebuild the civilisations it had lost.

Life After the Cataclysm

It is unknown what exactly he did after defeating god, yet it is generally accepted that he settled down in his camp that developed into a small town as a local leader, starting a family and living out the rest of his days in relative peace. It is believed that the camp grew larger and larger in size until eventually becoming the illustrious capital of the Vatelles, Kolmahyla.
