Lord Auksbury

Lord Auksbury is an oversized Glassprey living in the caves in Ligoul's Pleateau in the northern Bushback Woods.

Personal history

Lord Auksbury, hatched nameless, was taken from his nest with his siblings at a young age by some traveling hunters. The hatchlings were brought back to the nearby town where the hunters prepared to sell them, mostly for uses in rituals or meat. However, just before he was to be sold to a particularly hungry individual, a woman named Aela Drassil came to the stand and offered several hundred kyur for the bird, though he was only being bought for 50.
Aela raised Lord Auksbury as if he were her own flesh and blood, sparing no expense in his diet and education while sacrificing nearly all of her free time to be with him. And with time and love, Lord Auksbury grew to his present height, larger than any glassprey in the rest of Endhaven. But this did not bide well for Aela's well-to-do parents, who gradually grew tired of their daughter dedicating her whole life to a bird. They forced Aela to get rid of Lord Auksbury, but she was too attached to do so, and instead hid him in the caves of Ligoul's Pleateau in the far north of the Bushback Woods by using the Tyon Hubs between Numanev and Pineridge.
She traveled to Lord Auksbury's abode every day under the pretense to her parents that she was going to galas or visiting friends. However, word eventually reached her father of her daily travels. Her parents followed her to Pineridge and to Lord Auksbury before confronting her about him. During the argument, Lord Auksbury noticed Aela's father attempted to grab her and drag her back to Numanev. He quickly struck out to save her, tearing Sir Drassil to ribbons before she could react. Her mother narrowly escaped death as Lord Auksbury forced her into the cave to protect her. Lord Auksbury now defends Aela and will not allow her to leave the safety of the caves. He strikes out at any who are unfortunate enough to find themselves spotted by him, believing them to be searching for Aela.
