Treblin

Everything grows bigger in Dyre, with the average citizen towering twice the height of an average person. Accordingly, the City of Treblin is designed with larger proportions to accommodate the giant inhabitants -- The streets are wider, buildings are grand in scale, and the infrastructure is reinforced to support the weight and movements of the Dyrish people.

Demographics

The demographics of Treblin emphasize the dominance and cultural distinctiveness of the Kaentish giant population while acknowledging the presence of a diverse mix of visitors, transients, and smaller-sized individuals. This diversity contributes to the dynamic nature of the city, fostering interaction, trade, and the exchange of ideas among different races and cultures. As you'll see, the residents of Treblin form a unique and culturally rich community.

True Giants are characterized by their towering stature, typically ranging from 18 to 45 feet tall. They possess incredible strength, endurance, and a longer lifespan compared to smaller beings. Rare even in the North, where they are considered relatively common, the colossal requirements of feeding even a single giant means these are the rarest of the Dyrish folk. TheFenian, Firbolg and Fomorian lineages exhibit varying degrees of giant traits, such as height, physical strength, or elemental affiliation, depending on their specific lineage.

Although the majority of the population in Treblin is made up of giants and giant-kin, a substantial minority of halflings have made the city their home. After all... several halfling families might live comfortably in a home built for a single Dyrish family! Agreeable neighbours in general, they can be found working as craftsmen, artisans, and other skilled individuals who provide essential services to the community.

Government

Treblin does double duty as provincial capital for Bailycroga and federal capital of the Dominion of Dyre. As such, it recieves the bulk of the Imperial attention given the state, mostly to infrastructure projects designed to surmount the significant size differences between Dyrish folk and their Imperial neighbours.

Thoroughfares have multiple lanes to accommodate the larger strides and movements of the locals, and pedestrian walkways are spacious, allowing people to move comfortably whilst ensuring easy passage for the smaller visitors. Streets are lined with towering lampposts and large, ornate signage.

Built as it is on a boggy delta at the mouths of the Rivers Rannon and Cróga, Treblin is crisscrossed by massive bridges and viaducts that connect different parts of the city. Intricate carvings and decorative elements adorn these structures, showcasing the artistic sensibilities of the giants.
